                      Little Sun Shine (All children ages 0 to 18 months)

This playgroup is for babies who are sitting, crawling or start walking. Whether you are new or fluent in Mandarin, come join other parents and other caretakers for some fun and socializing. This class is conducted in Mandarin and is filled with songs, gentle activities and movements, stories and free play.

 

 

                     

                      Little Ting Tong (All children ages 18 to 36 months)

This playgroup is for toddlers and explorers. Whether you are new or fluent in Mandarin, come join other parents and other caretakers for some and socializing. This class is conducted in Mandarin and is filled with songs, gentle activities and movements, stories, art and crafts and free play.

 

 

 

                      Tiny Seeds (All children ages 3 to 5)

The goal of Tiny Seeds is to develop in children an ear for Mandarin. We design this class for the children with a lot of interactive opportunities. This class is a fun introduction to Mandarin through songs, games, arts and crafts, movement and stories. School designs our own teaching materials to suit each class. This extra effort by the school helps children and their family enjoy their first experience with Mandarin and Chinese culture. Parents are encouraged to join their children.

 

 

 

                      Curious Caterpillars (All children ages 5 to 7)

Students use learning materials, activities and books carefully selected and designed by our teachers. Students in this class have a lot of interactive conversation between students and teacher as well as among the students. Children learn better through lively interaction, so we use songs, illustration books, games, arts and crafts in the class.

 

 

 

                      Happy Pandas CHL (Children ages 7 or older who have a

                      Chinese speaking environment at home)

For students ages 7 and older who have a Chinese speaking environment at home, the school adopts the Chinese as a Heritage Language method, CHL. Students in the CHL group use the books from The College of Chinese Language and Culture of Jinan University, China and other supplemental materials. Children in this class learn Chinese writing, poems, idioms and introduction to the art of calligraphy.

 

 

 

                      Busy Bees CSL (Children ages 7 or older who do not have a

                      Chinese speaking environment at home)

For students ages 7 and older who do not have a Chinese speaking environment at home, the school adopts the Chinese as a Second Language method, CSL. Children in this class learn Chinese writing, poems, idioms and the art of calligraphy. Very few to no English will be used in this class.

 

 

 

                      Adult Beginners Class

Students learn Chinese writing, poems, idioms, pinyin, Chinese culture and introduction to the art of calligraphy. Very few to no English will be used in this class. Students in this class have a lot of interactive conversations between students and teacher as well as among the students.

 

 

 

                      Adult Intermediate Class

Students learn Chinese writing, poems, idioms, Chinese culture and introduction to the art of calligraphy. Students in this class have a lot of interactive conversations between students and teacher as well as among the students.

 

 

 

 

                      Chinese music instrument: “guzheng” 古筝

The earliest record of guzheng or Chinese zither is in 91B.C. It is believed that about 2000 years ago, Emperor Qin’s favorite music instrument was guzheng. Guzhend is also called “father of the Chinese music”. The guzheng’s strings were formerly made of twisted silk.  You should be able to find a lot of guzheng related slide in youtube.

Please contact us to plan for your next Chinese-themed Birthday Party or Private Party. You could have a memorable event filled with Chinese tradition, from lantern and dragon decoration, Chinese food and drink, live Chinese traditional music such as guzheng, dragon dance, Chinese traditional celebration and more.
